Kaliwa's old room, reopened on New Year's Eve
When Kaliwa closed at The Wharf, the same team reopened the room as Pink Tiger on New Year's Eve 2024. The cooking stayed Southeast Asian but loosened up considerably.
Miso deviled eggs with truffle and gochujang, soy-ginger glazed salmon, a Maryland blue crab curry that argues for the local ingredient more convincingly than most fusion does.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants đ©· I had Jose as a server, and he was excellent! The entire dinner was an experience starting with the intentional and thoughtful decor, flowing into delicious and interesting cocktails, leading to a âfun plateâ ribeye that I cooked on a hot stone at my table, and ending with the ever so sweet key lime pie. Every moment of my evening here was perfection đ©·

Great atmosphere and an overall wonderful experience. The space was welcoming and comfortable, and our server, Nemo, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Excellent service and a great vibe. Iâll definitely be back! Try the bacon and Brussel sprout fried rice!

Pink Tiger was such a fun surprise. We loved the vibe, especially once we realized there was live music inside. The piano player was taking requests, which made the night feel interactive and more memorable. We tried the coconut margarita, mezcal cider margarita, and the Retro Kitty, and all were really good, but the coconut margarita was my favorite. For food, the crispy lumpia was a great snack to share and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. Service was excellent too. Our waitress, Mayana was super helpful, kept checking in, and even let us put two tables together so we could better watch the show. They ended the night by bringing us two glasses of champagne, which was such a nice touch. Overall, great cocktails, good food, fun energy, and service that stood out.

The Pink Tiger at The Wharf is a really cute pre-show spot if youâre heading to The Anthem. We were late for our reservation, and they still sat us with no issue, which I appreciated immediately. The vibe is definitely the best part. They had live music, which made the space feel fun and lively. Just know the tables are close together, so be prepared to socialize a little lol. Youâre basically too close not to chat with your neighbor. The drinks were a little on the sweeter side for me, but still enjoyable. The scallop ceviche and chicken dumplings were delicious and easily the best things we ordered. The short ribs were just okay. They leaned too sweet and werenât as tender as I expected, so I probably wouldnât get those again. Special shoutout to our waitress, Maya. She was kind, knowledgeable, attentive, and present throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. The Pink Tiger is definitely worth checking out, especially if youâre looking for a fun dinner spot before a show at The Anthem.

Pink Tiger at The Wharf completely exceeded my expectations. Usually, restaurants that lean heavily into ambience, aesthetics, and trendy dĂ©cor tend to fall short in other areas like food or service â but that was absolutely not the case here. Everything was excellent from start to finish. We enjoyed the chicken dumplings, deep-fried shrimp, and halloumi to start, and every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. I ordered the shrimp curry, which needed a pinch of salt, but still didn't take away from my overall experience. My sister had the red snapper and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. What really tied the experience together was the service. Justin, our server, was an absolute gem and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout the evening. Iâll definitely be returning.
