A food truck finally gets a room near Union Station
Peruvian Brothers spent years as a food truck before opening a permanent room near Union Station in April 2026. Red snapper ceviche, baked empanadas, lomo saltado, plus bowls with rotisserie chicken, quinoa, avocado, egg and sweet potato.
It is fast-casual, but there is a ten-seat bar running a 3 to 6pm happy hour with frozen pisco sours. That is the seat to take.

I wanted to try this spot since it's less than a minute walk from my office building. I knew from checking online that it was going to be a bit pricey. They don't do combos for the quarte or half chicken so I ended up paying a little over $20 for a quarter white chicken, small yucca, and small roasted veggies. The yucca were my favorite. The veggies were a good amount for the price and the flavor was decent, a little spicy, but they could have been more tender. Also, there was way too many brussel sprouts. Would have rather had more broccoli. The menu doesn't state what the vegetables are. I ordered from the self serve menu, otherwise I would have asked beforehand and may have chosen something different. The chicken had little flavor, it was really only on the skin. Marinating would go a long way in boosting flavor. I would try this place again, but would get something else besides the chicken & veggies. If nothing else I'd order yucca & plantains.

This was close to where we needed to be and the food was good, but not great. Service was great too!

So happy to this place near my office. The chicken is delicious, wonderfully seasoned and served in a really appealing way. Since it is “fast casual” I was surprised to see my quarter chicken with quinoa salad served rather artfully on a real plate with real silverware. Even though it’s “fast casual” the atmosphere is somehow both elevated and cozy. It feels more like a museum cafe than a fast food restaurant— the decor is super stylish (lots of natural wood and stone surfaces) and the music is great. I haven’t been in the evening but they have a very nice looking bar where they serve frozen piscos. Also— some of the dishes are less expensive than getting fast food at Union Station. Just had a delicious chicken sandwich on freshly baked bread for about $10. You can also spend $18 or more, on ceviche or bowls. And they have a full breakfast menu!

I've eaten Peruvian food all over the DMV and this is easily one of the best spots I've found. The food tasted fresh, authentic and made from scratch. We ordered the Lomo Saltado, Pan con Chicharron, Empanadas and Picarones and every dish was packed with flavor. The Lomo Saltado had tender steak and perfectly seasoned fries, the Pan con Chicharron was outstanding and the Picarones were the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant itself is clean, modern and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. What really stood out was that this feels like a family-owned business that genuinely cares about the quality of the food and the customer experience. It's refreshing to find a place that delivers both great food and great hospitality. Whether you're familiar with Peruvian cuisine or trying it for the first time, I highly recommend giving Peruvian Brothers a try. We'll definitely be back.
