A 2020 food truck grows up into Trinidadian brick and mortar

Natalia Kalloo started Trini Vybez as a food truck in 2020 and moved into a permanent room on 10th Street NE four years later. Roti platters, doubles, stewed meats, cooking that traces back to Port of Spain.

Doubles are the thing to get first if you have never eaten Trinidadian food. They are two pieces of fried bara around curried chickpeas, and they cost less than a coffee downtown.
