A FLINTA bar doing its own thing on Scotchmer Street

Melbourne has almost no FLINTA bars. Bernie's is one of them, and it earned a spot on Broadsheet's list of the year's ten best new bars within months of opening.

The room is small, so the lineup carries it: readings, DJs, quiz nights. Drinks stay cheap by Fitzroy standards, and Edinburgh Gardens is a five-minute walk away.
