Italian bar tucked one flight above Flinders Lane
Skip the ground floor scene and head up. One flight of stairs off Flinders Lane and you're in an Italian bar that actually feeds you, not just another aperitivo spot with olives on the side.
Aperitivo hour is the reason to come, and there's enough food on the menu to turn it into dinner. Flinders Street station is around the corner, so there's no excuse to skip it on your way home.

Wow! đ€© ambience is spot on! We had a lovely window seat and it oozed mood to make a special date night đ„. The menu, bite sized tastings were delicious and presented beautifully. The service was impeccable, friendly, attentive without being intrusive. We enjoyed an Italian Pinot Noir đ·followed by some incredible cocktails. Put this on your bucket list, highly recommend. đđ

It couldnât get more Melbourne than a random walk up some stairs to a gorgeously fitted out, dimly lit wine bar. I brought my best friend for her birthday and we were treated to the 9âs: great food and amazing staff that made it all the better I hope Iâm not getting his name wrong as I was admittedly a little inebriated, but Issim(?) behind the bar made our night that extra bit more fun I love this spot so much! Itâs small, so make sure you have a booking, so youâre not filled with disappointment when you walk up the stairs ready to be consumed by the incredible energy, only for their to be zero tables for you (I'm talking major fomo otherwise)

Dinner at @florencewinebar last night felt like stumbling into a beautifully moody secret. If the rich red menu didnât set the tone, the first sip of those cocktails certainly didâcomplete with those perfectly stamped ice blocks that make you feel far more sophisticated than you probably are. âThe seafood was the real showstopper, though. The oysters arrived wearing a delicate Negroni granita crown, followed by the scallop crudo with caviar served in their shells that were almost too pretty to eat (almost). It was a masterclass in elegant, coastal-inspired dining right in the heart of Melbourne. Definitely a spot to keep in the rotation for when the evening calls for something a little bit special and that said the staff were exceptional lifting this meal to an experience that we will remembered
