Solace runs deep in Croft Alley, the Chinatown laneway that's hosted late rooms for decades. DJs, a small floor, and a licence that actually runs late make it worth the search.

The entrance is easy to miss from Little Bourke Street, which is half the appeal. Go on a weekend for the full version, when the floor fills and the night stretches past most bars' last call.
