Cafe Cressida
★ 3.9 · 65 reviews Sydney Opened 2025
A European corner tucked inside a Woollahra arcade
Skip the big cafes on the main strip and find this one instead, a small room off a courtyard in the Queens Court arcade that feels more Paris than Sydney. There's a pastry case up front and an actual lunch menu, not just brunch filler.
Queen Street's antique shops make it a natural stop before or after browsing. Parking is street only and spots disappear fast, so walk if you can.

I have to send this before I having dessert. I haven't had such a delicious full breakfast for a long time. I know everywhere doing this but t this place made its truly classic. The crispy bacon( the real crispy bacon), great quality sausage, crusty bread, runny egg, beautiful seasoned Roma tomatoes and mushrooms. And a cup of coffee from my favorite roastery. This made my day.

I had the crab omelette. Absolutely delicious. Omelette was perfectly cooked. Very tender. Just a little bit spicy with fabulous flavour. Great to see something different on the menu for breakfast. I’ll be back.

A lovely fit out. The food was OK, nothing compared to Ursula’s, their sister restaurant. The service was a bit odd - french waitress seemed displeased by our presence. I would book outdoors if possible, it’s very noisy indoors. Overall, it feels like Cafe Cressida is leaning too hard into the “cafe” experience but with the expensive restaurant pricing.

The food was pretty average, but my burger was good. The drinks were just okay. That said, the cafe has a really Instagrammable vibe and a super chill atmosphere😄

Getting away from the drone of the surgically enhanced on Queen Street, without worrying your card will explode when it's time to pay is tricky. Here, you'll find a comfy refuge. Sure, the 4 floor staff are as efficient as 1 that had been trained. I mean, the friendly team knows as much about service as I know when I open the hood of my broken down car, hoping to see an on/off switch. The food isn't bad at all. Oily, sure, but good oil. I'll come back for more tasting. Whenever the vista of augmented humans becomes too much.
