A modern Wallachian pub on Korunní with a Michelin Bib Gourmand
Výčep looks like a retro Czech pub and cooks like something considerably more ambitious. Chef Jiří Hrachový draws on Wallachian cooking from the Moravian hills, sourcing from farmers he names on the menu, and pours Dalešice beer alongside it.
The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand in December 2025 for exactly that value-to-quality ratio. There is an à la carte menu, a weekday lunch menu, and tasting menus with either wine or beer pairing, which is still a rare thing to find in a room this informal.
Good to know
- The beer pairing is worth taking over the wine one here.

We had a starter, mains and dessert it was and absolutely lovely meal. The food is humble and hearty but has a touch of elegance and upscale. Definitely a must eat place in Prague

The food was outstanding - one of the finest dishes we had in Prague was there. The quality of the rib eye and that pepper filled with duck meat was outstanding. Something I have never had in my life. Totally worth going out of your route to eat there!

This place was great. Went here with my girlfriend to get dinner for our first night in Prague. We went at 6pm on a Monday. We were the only ones there upon arrival but it quickly filled up around 630. People also stopped by just for a beer. So it was a very casual, accessible, not stuffy way to have access to Michelin level food. Starting off, the bread and truffle butter with seeds was delicious. Bread was warm and fresh. Butter was light, creamy, and had a hint of truffle I think. Not at all over powering. The beer was good I had the 11 and 12 degree pilsner. 11 was light and crisp. 12 was deeper, sweeter and had a bit more flavor less sharp bite than the 11. The Blboun dumpling was huge and felt like someone's granny made it special. It's a homey meal with savory and slight hints of sweet notes. Filling was flavorful and tender. Sauce was delicious. The pork schnitzel was probably the best schnitzel I had ever had. So much crisp, so much flavor, bone in pork gave it much more fat and flavor which was awesome. The only thing that wasn't out of this world were the pickles and potatoes that came with the meal. Those were just ok. But then again, not looking for a ton of flavor in boiled potatoes when I have that schnitzel. Finished the meal off with a vêtrnik for dessert. That thing was awesome. I'm not a huge fan of choux pastry and creams because they tend to be too much cream and a tasteless, textureless dough. But this one was great. The choux had a crisp and wasn't chewy. The caramel on top was sooooo good. The cream filling wasn't too much and was the right amount of sweet. Job well done.

First, the service was very good and accommodating. Second: I hate truffle oil and I do not understand why any self-respecting chef would use it not in one dish but in multiple dishes across the small menu. Truffle oil is a chemical produced by the flavor industry (2,4-dithiapentane) and a lazy crutch for splaying "truffle" all over the menu. Luckily, it was used very sparingly in the two dishes our party ordered (the butter accompanying excellent bread and the cheese in the otherwise wonderful tomato salad). Very good the butter-poached arctic char.

Simple decor with no fancy plating, but the food is seriously delicious! The Přeštice pig pork chop was incredibly tender and tasty — one of the best in Prague. Their kombucha was also great. The dessert ice cream sundae was really nice too. Excellent value for money, highly recommended!
