Skip the restaurants and head for the slow room. The Amber Room pours rum neat and stocks its humidor with Dominican cigars grown in-country, not flown in for show.

Every St. Regis has a version of this lounge, but the tobacco here is the real local thing. No reservation needed, though hotel guests tend to claim the seats before outside visitors show up in the evening.
