Casa Gazcue's pizzas use a 48-hour fermented dough. Within about a year it became the first Dominican pizzeria to land on the 50 Top Pizza Latin America ranking.
Hours run wide enough to cover breakfast through dinner, Tuesday to Friday from seven and weekends from eight. It doesn't take reservations, so locals plan around the evening rush.

The appetizers ordered (Croquetas Chorizo and Bread basket) where very savory, hot & fresh. We ordered one of their gourmet pizzas, the one with Chorizo bits, red onions & honey. I asked the server to please add Pepperoni, and she told us that it can not be done, that the chef doesn't allow add-ons to his pizza menu "creations". I could not understand it, it felt kind of odd, but we wanted to eat there, so we went ahead abide to it and ordered. The Pizza look & tasted great, but still our taste buds would have love it more with the addition of the Pepperoni. Next time, I would ask if it is possible to order a side dish of them..... maybe I will be lucky. The servers are very nice and the ambiance & decor feels more like a very charming remodeled old fashioned city restaurant with a few modern touches. It was very nicely executed. Prices are within their category range, and feel great that they use high quality ingredients.

Nice new place on the block. Excellent pizza, great decor, reminds me of an old eatery right on the heart of one of the oldest Santo Domingo areas. Must visit.

I loved the service here, and the food was 10/10. The top 6 pizza was amazing, and the waitress, Mari, was very kind and funny.
