Salinas' first real wine bar

Every other bar in Salinas pours beer or rum. Wineyards pours wine, national and imported bottles, plus sangria and cocktails for anyone easing into it, all at a slower pace than the rooftop bars nearby.

It's small, more neighborhood wine shop with tables than destination bar. That low-key setup is probably why it's stuck around in a category the city never had before.

Good to know

• They stock both Ecuadorian and imported labels, worth asking what's local if you haven't tried Ecuadorian wine.
