Fine-dining vegan tasting menus from the team behind Maki Maki
Each course is built as its own composition, not a vegetable swapped in for meat, drawing on specialty ingredients sourced from the Balkans. Three or four courses, seasonal, cooked in an open kitchen for a dark dining room of about a dozen tables.
Cotell is the second act from the Maki Maki crew, trading vegan sushi for a fine-dining vegan menu on the Mauritiussteinweg.

It is a small vegan restaurant with around 12 tables (2-3 persons). Unfortunately it was very dark and no daylight was coming in due to complete closed curtains (seems to be part of the concept). The starter was ok, but not really convincing (salad / soup). The main dish was very delicious and the dessert also ok. The service was very good, but the menu was not convincing.

I’m very impressed. Refined, original, seasonal cuisine with a subtle Balkan touch. Every ingredient feels well thought out and chosen with care, they even import some themselves. Highly recommended, worth the experience.

Cotell Cologne is an amazing vegan restaurant! The atmosphere is stylish and cozy, and the service was top-notch – the staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The vegan dishes at Cotell Cologne are perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. I will definitely visit again!
