Jakob spent fourteen years cooking in Michelin-starred kitchens from Melbourne to Amsterdam before opening his own room on the Brüsseler Platz, in the space that used to be Ouzeria.

Lunch runs on fresh pasta, simple as that. Come evening, the same room shifts gears into a fuller casual fine-dining menu, backed by natural wine and cocktails.

Today, the two of us visited Bar Brio for the first time. It only opened a few days ago, and the restaurant was already packed, which speaks volumes. Despite the large number of customers, the team was friendly and unhurried, and they made sure we had a table even though we hadn't made a reservation. Kudos to them for that! We immediately felt comfortable in the modern and stylish atmosphere. The inviting bar is a real eye-catcher upon entering the restaurant, making you want to stay longer. We were particularly impressed with the service: the waiter took the time to offer personal recommendations at each table, appearing attentive and dedicated. The menu is concise yet offers something to suit every taste. We opted for the cod fillet in a white foam sauce with beans and spring onions. The dish was superbly prepared and a true culinary delight. The bread also deserves special mention – simply excellent. We are thrilled and will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
