Bánh mì built entirely from scratch, down to the baguette

Every sauce, mayonnaise, marinade, meatball and baguette roll here is made in-house, nothing bought in. The menu stays narrow and focused on the sandwich itself, with a short list of rice dishes on the side, tofu or chicken.

Two Vietnamese families built Xốp together on the Merowingerstraße, starting their bánh mì bistro from scratch rather than following a template.

We just stopped in there spontaneously shortly before they closed and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The service was also really good and they were super friendly! Will be back to try more dishes soon!

I tried two different Vietnamese sandwiches here, and both were outstanding - fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. Exactly the kind of light but satisfying food you want on a sunny day. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place I’ll definitely come back to.

Thanks Xơp for bringing such a good Bahn Mi to the Südstadt. There are other good food options in the Menu like rice, but I will work my way through the menu, starting with their specialty, Bahn Mi. Until now I have tried Hanoi classic and Beef... both really great 👍. Love the fresh baked bread. Perfect place for a nice quick evening snack or Mittagstisch option. Loved it. The team in charge is also really great. I recommendit hands down.
