Bar takeovers and Karnataka's GI-tagged produce in every glass

Above The Biere Club, right at the corner of Lavelle Road and Vittal Mallya Road, PartTwo swaps the usual weekend pop-up for seasonal menus and full bar takeovers. Seventy seats in deep wood with green accents, plus a long polished bar under art deco lighting.

The cocktail list runs on GI-tagged Karnataka produce. The Three Citrus Negroni uses Coorg oranges, the Bangalore Gibson is built on the city's rose-onion brine, and there's a rasam-inspired vermouth. Chef Karan Upmanyu cooks East and Southeast Asian food minus China: mee krob, lacquered halloumi in soy-galangal glaze, tuna nori bites, crispy soft shell crab.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here several times. In terms of atmosphere, service, and food, it has never failed to meet expectations—it’s a restaurant I can confidently recommend every time.

Had a fab lunch here last weekend. It was a weekday afternoon so relatively quiet. I tried their street style grilled beef, the tuna tartare and the grilled prawns. The beef and tuna were *chef’s kiss*. The prawns were good too but I could have done with less of the coconut milk in that dish. For cocktails I tried the PartTwo martini which was quite spirit forward but very well made. My only grouse there was that those olives had seen better days. The Paloma II was a lighter, more refreshing cocktail for those who prefer less alcohol-y drinks :) They use Malhar gin for their gin-based cocktails and that’s currently one of favourite gins as well. So that made it even better. Special thanks to Apurba for being so attentive and taking the time to share his recommendations with me. And letting me stay a little beyond closing time so I could finish my drink in peace. :) The ambience is cozy. With some whimsical touches like those bright coloured patterns on the chair legs. Overall, had a great time and hoping to be back soon to try out more items on the menu.
