45 seats built around sake and shochu
Stone and wood, low light, more Tokyo hideout than Indiranagar bar. That's the mood at Katana, from the team behind Sandy's, OG Ramen and Tokyo Diner.
Chef Sanjit Biswakarma's small plates land: corn custard on shokupan toast with chilli oil, pickled watermelon in a tiger's milk emulsion, a spicy salmon rice bowl with ikura and bonito. The bar stays clean and seasonal, letting the sake and shochu carry it.

Had a great experience at Katana! If you're looking for good Pan-Asian food in Bangalore, this place is definitely worth visiting. The service was quick, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout our meal. We tried a few dishes, and everything was delicious. The gyozas were the highlight—fresh, served piping hot, and absolutely packed with flavor. The ambience is another big plus. It has a dark, aesthetic interior that's perfect for a relaxed dinner or date night. It's on the pricier side, but I felt the food quality and overall experience made it worth it. Also, if you have eligible bank cards or dining offers, you can save a good amount on the bill, which is a nice bonus. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality Pan-Asian food and a great dining experience in Indiranagar.

Went here for a impromptu lunch, the food was very good and the service was fantastic, the server was very well trained and was able to explain everything with confidence and clarity. Overall we had a very good experience, the downside was I felt the pricing was a bit steep also the wine and sake selection was quiet lean. Overall a good restaurant in Indiranagar.

A cozy dine-in spot with limited seating and a warm ambiance. The food was good, but the quantity didn’t quite justify the price paid, which was a little disappointing. They could definitely expand their vegetarian menu, as most of the options revolve around tofu and mushrooms. On the bright side, the service was good and the staff were very sweet and welcoming.

We were recommended to try Katana by a friend and being Japanese food lovers, we visited one afternoon. It’s an absolute rare phenomenon that everything in a restaurant is perfect and Katana is just that. The decor, the team serving us (happy faces and great attitude) and above all the food and menu. We tried number of their Sakura specials rather than the main menu and everything was delicious and fresh. The mango tuna sushi is highly recommended. I wasn’t sure of the mango in sushi but the guy serving us convinced us to give it a try and thank God we did ❤️ We can say this is a genuine review after eating at 100s of Japanese restaurants in India and Japan. Please do take a look at the review my daughter left on writing. Do visit this small quaint place in Indiranagar. We were lucky to get a place by appointment over the phone, but pre reservation is required as within minutes it was full. Also they helped us with our birthday candles and sweet message just on a simple request. 100 points to the staff/team.

Katana is a cosy little Japanese spot that seats around 30 people, with a nicely done interior that gives a great Japanese vibe. We tried quite a few starters and they were easily the highlight. The prawn tempura, unagi, and hamachi hand rolls were fresh and delicious. The pork gyoza, spicy karaage chicken were excellent and packed with flavour. One dish that really stood out was the beet cured salmon with tiger’s milk. It was unique, refreshing, and easily one of the most memorable dishes of the evening. For mains, the katsu chicken with garlic rice and chilli sesame noodle prawns were very enjoyable. The grilled lamb chops had good flavour but were slightly rubbery and could have been more tender. We also had the berry smash and yuzu lemonade, both refreshing and well made. Overall, a lovely place with great food and a cosy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
