70 seats inside a 12,000 sq ft food hall

Foodstories brought its Delhi and Hyderabad playbook to Lavelle Road with 12,000 square feet that's part boutique grocery, part cafe, part community space. Vinita Chaitanya designed the 70 seat cafe at its centre with terrazzo floors, bamboo chairs and a pavilion nodding to Cubbon Park. A gulmohar tree from the site's earlier life still stands.

French chef Gregory Bazire shaped the menu, breakfast through bakes, using produce from Happy Hens Farm and Planet Mushrooms. Coffee comes from Nandan Coffee's Kodaikanal estate, including a dark roast made only for this cafe. There's a juicery too.
