Fíon Eile means "another wine," and that's the whole pitch: pick any of the roughly 300 bottles on the shelves and drink it in for a flat €10 corkage. The by-the-glass list is short and changes weekly, a nice bonus rather than the main event.

Food stops at snacks, so this is a wine stop, not a dinner one. Go on a Sunday or Monday afternoon if you want the place to yourself.

Some places are worth building an itinerary around, and this is one of them. Every time I’m in Dublin, this is one of my very first stops. Mo and Patrick somehow manage the impossible combination of being incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely welcoming and completely unpretentious. They don’t just recommend good wine—they listen to what you actually enjoy and somehow find the bottle (or glass) you didn’t know you were looking for. And then there’s the Champagne by the glass. They always seem to have something utterly heavenly open. The sort of Champagne that makes you briefly consider cancelling the rest of your plans and spending the afternoon “just having one more.” The shop itself is dangerous in the best possible way. It feels like a treasure cave for wine lovers—every shelf promises another discovery, and I leave with far more bottles than I intended every single time. If you love wine, appreciate brilliant service and enjoy spending time somewhere with a genuinely lovely atmosphere, don’t miss this place. Come for one glass. Leave wondering how your suitcase is going to accommodate all the bottles you’ve just convinced yourself are essential.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Fion Eile Wine Bar with a private wine tasting, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! A massive thank you to Sinead and Paul, who made organising the entire event completely seamless from start to finish. They were incredibly helpful with all the details. The day itself was spectacular thanks to Sinead, who led our tasting. She was so knowledgeable, engaging, and curated a selection of truly great wines that everyone in our group loved. The atmosphere was perfect, the service was amazing, and the wine was exceptional. Thank you, Sinead, Paul, and the whole team, for making my 40th a special one 🎊♥️

Fantastic spot. You can sit in and have a nice glass of wine and some nibbles. Lovely atmosphere, very helpful and knowledgeable staff and fantastic wine. A real gem of a spot!

An absolutely perfect wine bar/shop! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, and we loved the beautiful simplicity of the space, while it was still warm and inviting! The snacks were also delicious. I wish we lived in the neighborhood and could visit often! :)
