Southern Italy's first listening bar, disguised as a Palermo grocery store

Minimarket opened in December 2024 on Piazza Rivoluzione, run by siblings Daniel, Greta and Priscilla Bellavista, who already own the restaurant and cocktail bar Locale elsewhere in the city. From the street it looks like an ordinary grocery store. Getting in means knowing the password and asking for a specific product at the counter, Palermo's first real speakeasy.

Inside, the space opens into three rooms: a cocktail bar with its own counter, a mirrored room built around lighting effects, and a listening room behind a sound-absorbing curtain, billed as the first listening bar in Southern Italy. Francesco Di Verde runs the drinks program, chef Alberto Ferrara heads a secret kitchen, and within its first year the bar made the finalist list for Best Italian New Cocktail Bar at the 2025 Roma Bar Show Awards.
