Good coffee is easy to find on Kabanbai Batyr Street. Good coffee next to sando sandwiches and onigiri is not, and that's what makes Solid worth the stop.

The menu stays small and Japanese leaning: rice bowls, onigiri, a few sando options. No big launch, no hype online, just a shop letting the food and the espresso do the talking.

The place has great vibes, very much a trendy, urban feel. We stumbled upon it by chance while going to the opera house across the street and looking for an ATM. I don't think there's parking available.

While staying at the hotel, I was glad to discover Solid Coffee just off the lobby — visible from the entrance area, yet comfortably set apart in its own space. They roast their own beans, which is rare and always a strong sign of quality. The coffee is clean, well-balanced, and carefully prepared. It’s always a pleasure to find a proper specialty coffee spot while traveling. A great addition to the hotel experience.
