Amor Cafe

Coffee at 7am, philosophy kept light
Amor Cafe opens at 7am, earlier than most of Pakse's cafe scene, catching people before the day's heat sets in. The name nods to Amor Fati, love of one's fate, but the space leans cute and colorful rather than a philosophy lecture.
It's built a different crowd than the backpacker cafes near the river. Expect more locals and long-stayers grabbing a coffee before work than laptops camped out for the afternoon.
Good to know
- Opens at 7am, one of the earliest cafes in central Pakse.
- The decor leans playful, worth a stop even outside coffee hours.

The place has a really nice Southern European–style decor that gives it a cozy, artsy vibe. The drinks were good, but the portions felt a bit small considering the price. Overall, it’s still a nice spot to stop by for a drink or a light bite.

The BEST brunch spot i’ve stumbled across in 3 months of travel, perfect if you need to do some work as very peaceful. The food is absolutely fantastic, lots of choice but i rec going for the caesar wrap!! Lastly, the ladies working there are so friendly. Just a really nice spot, will be back tomorrow :)

Seemed like a nice place in the heart of Pakse. Fancy decorations, friendly staff, comfy seats. But the food….proper portion sized for a toddler. A small child would be left hungry with that amount of food. It sure would be nice if there was AMOR food on the plate, but alas, it was barely an appetizer. Perhaps a name change to A-LESS Food would be more appropriate. Ordered the fried rice with sweet sausage and 5 bites later it was done. My friend ordered fried pork w/garlic (and egg) and she was done eating before me. Normal prices for the area, abnormally small portions and nothing special about the quality or flavor. Definitely will not be returning if I have to order a second plate to actually be full.

Lovely art deco designed cafe/restaurant. Friendly staff. We really enjoyed our breakfast here this morning. Reasonable prices for what we ordered (2 hot lattes and 2 croissants with ham, cheese and scrambled eggs). Portion size was right for us.
