One of the few Blantyre rooms that actually books bands

Anchors hosts touring Malawian musicians most weekends, live sets on top of the regular food and drinks. It's less known for the kitchen than for consistently booking acts other venues don't.

It opens daily from mid-morning through dinner, rather than running as a pure night spot. Local roundups of Blantyre's live-music venues mention it often, for exactly that reason.
