A garden café built for slow mornings, wellness studio attached

Burgers. Light meals. Coffee. All served in a garden setting built for lingering, not grabbing a coffee and running. Grounded pairs the café with a small wellness studio on Liwonde Close in Namiwawa.

It opened in December 2025. Local reaction treated it as overdue: more than one post simply read "Blantyre, we finally have a new cafe in town." Closed Tuesdays, with shorter weekday hours built around the wellness schedule rather than office lunch traffic.

Been hearing so much good reviews about the place, had to go…love the location.. tucked away in the heart of the city..quiet, cozy vibes..,amazing book selection. The Pizza was really good..refreshing mocktails!!! Definitely going back to try more food on the menu and definitely finish my book😅

This is my go to place when I’m in town, and I highly recommend their smashed burgers, by far the best in town 👌🏿, the service is immaculate and I love the ambience, if you also love reading books they have some available.

This secluded spot offers a decent amount of seating and reasonably priced drinks. An iced latte was above average. Service was slightly longer than expected, given the limited number of tables, but not excessively so.

I am absolutely obsessed with the Loaded burger. Highly recommend for anyone who visits Grounded. The rest of the food is great but the Loaded burger........yummy
