Ibiza-styled bakery café in Leidsche Rijn Centrum

Whitewashed walls, warm light and a mood borrowed from somewhere far south of here: Sotto doesn't look like anything else in this shopping centre. It brought award-winning croissants and sourdough to the Parijsboulevard, where nothing like it existed before.

It's open from eight in the morning until ten at night, every day, which is rare out here. That means it covers breakfast and a late glass just as easily. Get there before lunch, the croissants don't last.

Tried the almond croissant, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The coffee was fine, but there were no prices displayed for the food, so paying €7.20 for an almond croissant came as an unpleasant surprise. On a Sunday morning the cafe wasn’t busy, which was surprising given the location. The only positives were the fast service and the friendly staff.
