Properly whisked matcha, steps from the Mariaplaats

This isn't the sweetened tin stuff. Matcha here gets whisked the traditional way in a small room on the Bakkerstraat, a minute from the Mariaplaats. The brand started in Maastricht and brought its bowls north to Utrecht in 2025.

Brunch runs Thursday to Sunday until four. The rest of the week it's drinks and the shop side. Go on a weekday afternoon if you want a seat without the wait.

I feel like there might not be enough matcha because I couldn’t really taste or smell the matcha much. Or maybe it’s because it wasn’t whisked finely enough, I’m not sure

So cool place. The white peach matcha is marvelous. Matcha ball is the perfect option when you don't want dessert but want something a little sweet.

I’ve tried matcha in many places before, but this one sooo good! Amazing variety of choice. Very nice place! I live in Amsterdam, so sad that there’s no such place there!

we are real matcha aficionados and this was top quality matcha. we came here every day of our holiday, the cherry blossom matcha was absolutely delicious! ashley was our server and was so kind and patient when we couldn’t decide what to order

Really good matcha. Price worth it!! The matcha for making it at home was amazing as well. Great staff and service, amazing atmosphere. Always returning 🫶🏻
