Modern Italian on the Barcode strip

Corso runs a modern Italian menu in Bjørvika, along the Barcode row by Dronning Eufemias gate. The kitchen describes itself as inspired by the Italian classics rather than bound to them, with fresh pasta and a couple of standout plates that reviewers have singled out.

The location makes it an easy stop near the Opera and the Deichman library. Coordinates here are approximate to the Barcode strip.

Delicious food! Everyone liked both the crab pasta, which is homemade, and also the halibut and the bbqed tbone. Also very good sevice. Location is also very nice, perhaps one of the nicest urban locations in Oslo, right next to the channel. To make this review balanced, I will also point out that we waited a little bit long for our main dish, 45-60 minutes (which is the reason for 4 out of 5 stars for the service), but at the same time it is refreshingly nice with a restaurant that is not just focused on getting the customers through the menu as soon as possible. Optimal wait could have been 15 minutes less, as it is also nice to build up some expections and hunger between dishes. Try out Corso! We will definitely be back 🙏

Very nice Italian restaurant. The menu is small but thoughtful. The food tastes real good and you feel the ambition the Chef has to present you new variations of traditional dishes. The service was very warm and friendly, we followed his recommendations and were not disappointed.

Wow! Newly opened Corso delivers! We have already eaten there a couple of times and it has been 10/10! The first evening we took the tasting menu (it was great) and the second evening we took open lasagna, squid and mussel pasta, cheese fondue and a delicious pistachio ice cream for dessert! The menu covers all needs. Fish, meat, pasta and more exciting dishes. The atmosphere, the people who work there are great. Only good vibes. This will be our new regular restaurant!

Waiters who make great recommendations unsolicited, recommend better combinations than we came up with ourselves. Funny waiters with funny comments and just the right atmosphere for our table. The food was delicious, on a great outdoor terrace!

Fusion Italy / Norway. Three-course meal: The starter, parmesan fondue with bread, was not for me. I didn't like the mouthfeel or the taste. The main course, salmon with a tomato-based sauce - delicious. Perfectly cooked fish, interesting spices and accompaniments. Chocolate gelato for desert, made at Corso. The sea salt added a touch of spice to a well-composed and tasty ice cream. Attentive and skilled waiters. Was disappointed when I got apple juice in the same glass I had prosecco in, but that was a trifle. Great atmosphere!
