Bistro Fourrage opened in 2024 in the former Velochef space on Storgata, near the old Jakob church at the top of Grünerløkka. Aftenposten described it as French food with a modern edge, served against bare concrete walls.
The kitchen does a seasonal weekend brunch and keeps a wine list built on small European producers. The fries get singled out, and there is sunny outdoor seating.

Outstanding Restaurant! Located in the city center, in Grünerløkka -arguably the most vibrant and stylish district in Oslo - this restaurant truly exceeded our expectations. The food is exceptional, supported by an impressive and extensive wine list, with expertly curated pairings suggested by the staff. The fries are genuinely the best in town, while the scallops and duck are absolute must-tries. Each dish is executed with precision and balance, clearly reflecting a strong culinary identity. Service was equally remarkable. Leone, the restaurant manager, took exceptional care of us and all the guests, creating a warm, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming atmosphere that made everyone feel at home. Without hesitation, this is our favorite restaurant in Oslo. It is clearly destined to become one of the city’s most highly regarded dining destinations in the very near future. Thank you for a wonderful experience—this will undoubtedly become a regular stop for us every time we visit Oslo.

Fabulous festive evening with friends at Bistro Fourrage! We were a table of 12 and had an excellent experience with the set menu. The service was incredible and they were very accommodating to all of our dietary requirements. Food was some of the best we’ve experienced. Such a great evening and would highly recommend!

One of the nicest discoveries during our visit to Oslo! The place is super cosy and perfectly located in the heart of Grünerløkka. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding: our waiter, Leone, was extremely attentive, kind, and outgoing. He made us feel at ease throughout the evening and even gave us great tips on places to visit next. We had a wonderful experience overall and can’t wait to come back. Merci!
