Fifteen plates, no tasting menu, no apologies

Chef Luciano Saco keeps the card tight on Alfonso Ugarte: fifteen plates of contemporary Peruvian cooking, portions that don't hold back. Skip the tasting-menu theatrics, this is straight-up food built to be finished.

It's open Monday to Saturday from 12:30 to 10pm, Sundays until 5. Saco has since opened a second spot in Surquillo, which says plenty about how the first year at Rastro went.
