It sits out in Vitan rather than the tourist core, and the dining room's warmth matches the food's premise. Familiar first, refined second. One of the more honest routes into what Romanians actually grew up eating.

Pretty place, but more important, delicious place! We tried 3 courses and absolutely loved the chocolate-coated wheat dessert, mixed with lovage ice-cream. Such a twist for a traditional dessert! 💚🤎 Dan and Denisa took really good care of us, made us feel at home. Will definitely return. Thank you and best of luck! 👏🫶

The staff were very welcoming and attentive! The presentation of the dishes was excellent, with beautiful tableware and wonderfully prepared food. We had a great time and would love to come back. We also truly appreciated the complimentary drink — a lovely touch! Highly recommended!

We got the pork and the beef, and both were just amazing. The meats were tender, and full of flavor. Both mash potatoes melted in our months. The contrast with the cold beets was refreshing for the mouth. Definitely a place to stop by. My only suggestion is that the restaurant would feel more cozy if the lights were dimmer.

Our experience at Strabun was great, the food was delicious with generous portions and cool atmosphere. We had both meat and the vegan cauliflower dish and everyone was impressed with their choice. The service was fast and when there was a mixup with our orders (two orders came with the wrong toppings), the staff was quick to fix it and the extra toppings were left to share free of charge. Strongly recommend if you want to taste a smart and modern interpretation of Romanian cuisine. The coliva dessert with ice-cream was stunning and surprising.
