The Roca brothers' snack bar, right across the square from their fine-dining spot
No reservations, no fuss: just ham croquettes, a country pâté and a scoop of ice cream, a few euros each. It's the low-key spinoff from Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca, sitting on Plaça de l'Oli across from their restaurant Normal.
The counter inside gets busy, but the wide terrace is the move once the square's shade clears the tables. For a family whose flagship El Celler de Can Roca books out months ahead, this is as close as you'll get to walking in off the street.

Very friendly service! Excellent spot for a glass of wine and some small dishes! We had the tartare and the pate and both were delicious!
