Skip the classic Rioja and Ribera names. La Cantina's list leans small producer, built by sommelier Núria Lucía from more than 25 years working the floor, with partners Xavier García and Albert Morales backing her.
She designed it as a stop you pass through, not a destination in itself. It sits a few steps from Bar Normal and Restaurant Normal, in a corner of the Barri Vell that's quietly become a wine bar cluster over the last two years.

In the middle of the old quarter, you will find a magnificent wine bar where the professionalism of Núria and Iker, a very good service, a great product and a fantastic wine selection come together!!!

La Catina provided the most wonderful tasting experience for my group of friends. We tasted 5 wines and every one was delicious and unique tasting. It was great valuable and the staff were lovely. The bar is in a beautiful area of the old town and perfect to enjoy a glass or two sitting in the square. Highly recommended.

To be really honest, we came with zero expectations to Girona. By accident we discovered the loveliest winebar ever. I can write a 100 page long story without chatGPT about this place, but to conclude it all: absolute perfection!

A great wine bar in the heart of the old city! La Cantina has a fantastic range of wines available by the glass. The staff were very friendly, and knowledgeable about the wine list.
