Fire, smoke and Asturian roots near Plaza de España
Grupo Asgaya built La Charca around fire and smoke, with a charcoal grill doing the heavy lifting just off Plaza de España. It's the Asturian group's first real push into central Madrid.
The Asturian roots stay on the menu though: cachopo and slow-cooked stews sit right alongside the grilled fish and meat coming off that same grill.

Love the food, cachopo with really good meat without any nerves even in the edge. Alcachofa with bull tail is just a genius combination. Only thing is that there's time limit, hut the problem is that waiter is coming continuously asking if you have finished while we still have things on the plate..

Excellent food and excellent service. The goat cheese balls with honey and caramelized onions were amazing!!! The fabada was spectacular!!! Carrillada was delicious as were the breaded fish and the fish in sidra. We will definitely be going back!

Delicious food, well made, fast service. Fills up fast so make a reservation. Some of the portions are gigantic.
