Klara and Wilma's Scandi-French wine bar

Klara and Wilma opened Suber on Aschebergsgatan on March 11, 2025, running a Scandinavian-French menu built around West Coast produce alongside a natural wine list.

The room is small and wraps around the bar, made for sharing a few plates rather than sitting through a fixed multi-course dinner.

Non-touristy family owned French Scandinavian spot. We started with the fried cheese balls, then beef tartare, fresh catch of the day, layered potato cake and steak with a red wine sauce. Finished with Le Munk which was a lemon-curd stuffed doughnut with a mixed berry compote and vanilla ice cream. The beef tartare (Rabiff), catch of the day, and LeMunk was can’t miss. The only thing I would pass on was the Pommes Anna (layered potato side). Some things to note, the menu is entirely in Swedish and there is no English translation. Highly recommend!

We had an early dinner the other day and we were not disappointed. They have a small but varied menu, with a focus on fish and such, and a good selection of different wines. Recommended!

We were here on Valentine's Day and we thought everything was great! As previous reviewers have written, the drink Twisted Sister is a real candy drink. The food was also great.

Absolutely wonderful date night spot, we had a great meal! Loved all of the bites, unique and tasty bites with each dish and great wine to pair! The staff was amazing, super friendly and lovely, so nice to meet the owner and learn the delicious bread recipe was a family one!! Vibe was perfect for a date night - cozy; vibrant; and welcoming - good energy but not too loud so we couldn’t keep our conversation. 10/10, highly recommend anyone visiting Goteborg to check out Suber!!!
