Cologne's Kölsch ritual comes to Möllevången
Gaststätte Kölsch opened on Simrishamnsgatan on October 9, 2024, bringing Cologne's beer hall tradition to Malmö. The Kölsch is brewed by Malzmühle in Cologne and poured the classic way, in slim 20-centiliter glasses that keep coming until you cap your coaster over the empty one.
The kitchen backs it up with schnitzel, sausage and pretzels, plates built for soaking up round after round.

Had the Schweinshaxe(roasted pork knuckle). Perfect crackling and just enough salt. Service was fast and efficient.

As a Guy from Köln I must say it was really surprising to see the Gaststätte Kölsch walking by. Of course we directly went inside to check it out. Its really authentic. And very friendly atmosphere. Big advice to visit!

It’s like a Kölsch place. Just not in Köln, but in Malmö. So, no magnificent dome or an sn alternative brand of Kölsch nearby. Just this. If you’re in the mood, go for it.
