Fresh pasta and truffle butter in Ystad's old station house

Tryffelsvinet opened in September 2024 inside Ystad's historic station building, taking over the old waiting room facing the harbor. The menu centers on fresh pasta finished with truffle butter sauce, plus antipasti and charcuterie, in a small trattoria-style room.

The Ystad spot followed the original Tryffelsvinet in Kivik, further up the Österlen coast, bringing the truffle-focused format to the county town's train station.

The food is good and well-composed, but lacked the finishing touch.. The sage in the ravioli was not deep-fried or hard-boiled, as fresh it gave an "earthy" taste to an otherwise magical dish. We also shared a raw steak, also super good, if it hadn't been for the insanely salty dressed arugula on top. It had to go, but it would have been the finishing touch!

Nice italian food. Short and sturdy memu wich is clue that the food is good. FYI Its lockaded in a bulding that was used as a police station in the TV Show Wallander

A gem of a restaurant - excellent food, fantastic wine + beer (highly recommend the Italian golden ale), good portions of food and excellent service by one of the staff who waited on us. I would highly recommend the 'Pickle' - the crunch, the level of pickling, the bed of sour cream and the honey - perfection! Being seated at a small table in the back, next to the kitchen and noise, while a big part of the restaurant was empty the entire time we were there was a bit unfortunate. I would go back for the food, though!

Very nice place! We ate a lunch there and the food was amazing 👍🏼 we ate tuna and lobster pasta. Great service as well 🫶
