Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong

★ 4.7 · 1,337 reviews Bangkok Opened February 2024

Thailand's first Moxy, and Asia Pacific's biggest, 504 rooms deep

Check-in happens at the bar with a welcome cocktail, which tells you what kind of stay this is. Rooms run tight, but the common areas are built for lounging, not just passing through, and the location drops you into the Ratchaprasong mall cluster with CentralWorld and Gaysorn a few minutes off on the skywalk.

Sato San, the Japanese-leaning rooftop bar, is the real draw. It's built its own following through chef collaborations and one-off events, loud enough that Pride Month programming and a packed events calendar keep this place buzzing well past what its price tag suggests.

Good to know

  • Check-in happens at the bar and comes with a free welcome cocktail, the Moxy party trick.
  • Sato San, the rooftop bar, runs chef collaborations and is a destination in its own right.
  • Rooms are small by design; pack light and live in the common spaces.

Moxy Bangkok was such an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the energy, hospitality, and overall vibe of the place were incredible. A special shoutout to Bon, Dis, Gigi and Sunday, who were absolutely wonderful and made our stay even more memorable. They were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home. Sunday, in particular, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. And what do I even say about Sato San rooftop bar! The breathtaking views, incredible signature cocktails, delicious food, and amazing atmosphere made it one of the highlights of our Bangkok trip. 🍸✨ The rooms were comfortable, the location was great, and the entire hotel has such a fun, vibrant energy. I genuinely had a fantastic stay and would absolutely come back the next time I’m in Bangkok!

This was my first time at Moxy, most of my friends recommended it since they stayed here before. The reception/bar/lounge area has fun young vibes, definitely more social and lively than your typical hotel lobby. Staff were very welcoming at check in, gave us some welcome drink and even helped us out with small requests like getting disposable utensils sent up in the middle of the night when our room didn’t have any. Location wise is the biggest win here. It’s directly linked to the mall downstairs with well known chains like After You, EveAndBoy and Let’s Relax Spa. It also connects to R-Walk, the bridge that takes you straight to Central World, and Big C is just to the left. In short, if you’re rushing for your trip like us this place is recommended to stay as it has almost everything you need in just a very short walking distance!

Great location, great staff. Cons: A few things to improve and it will be a 10 rated hotel. First of all, the person at the lobby parking did not help us with the luggage and only when we started going up the ramp he helped us with one luggage. We had 3 big ones and more hand bags. we got to the reception and did not get the famous welcome drink so that was disappointing. We booked an early check in which was ok and the room was ready when we arrived at 9:15, but when we asked about the late check out we paid for, we were told we get just one hour extra so beware when you get this with booking. Some areas of the hotel, especially the floor looks dirty but the rooms look clean enough. Pros: The breakfast itself is good and kids loved the variety starting from pastries, selection of beverages, cornflakes, Thai dishes, fruits and so on. You can also order eggs and they will bring it to your table which is very nice. As a first time impression, this hotel is not what I expected but the staff is great and helpful and it seems there is a lot of staff members around trying to find ways to help you. At first, I wrote a bad review on the hotel but after two days, they changed my mind. The smile on the staff’s faces and the willingness to help, the fact that there are so much staff members around is crazy good! They seem genuinely happy to work there and the person who hired them made a good choice. During changing this review, the assistant manager Nat came to me and said she wanted to know more on the bad review I made here and that is admirable. Thank you Nat for noticing your guests issues! I also want to mention Mars. A very nice waiter who welcomes you every day and makes sure you are treated. I still think the lobby guys need to help more with the luggage and be more aware and the floor needs to be cleaner but these are small things. The rooftop bar is amazing and again the staff there are very nice. I am sorry I posted a bad review at first and I take it back! You deserve better!

I stayed at Moxy Bangkok for 10 days, and after visiting Bangkok six times, I can honestly say this is my favorite hotel so far. The location is perfect, and the breakfast buffet is excellent with a great selection every morning. Every staff member was incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly—they truly made me feel at home. One of the sweetest surprises was receiving a special Independence Day treat from the staff. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made my stay even more memorable. I also loved the new food court on the ground floor. It has so many great dining options, making it the perfect place to grab a meal after a day of shopping. A big shout-out to the entire Moxy Bangkok team for making my stay so enjoyable. From now on, this will definitely be my go-to hotel every time I visit Bangkok. Highly recommended!

Funky hotel which feels very modern and contemporary, but definitely in a good way! Great foyer with bar, places to play pool and air hockey and they even have an arcade cabinet. Large space outside to take in the city and relax in comfortable seating. Rooms were a bit on the small side, hence dropping a star for 'rooms' (feels harsh but dont have the option of a half star) but clean and functional. BIG window with blackout blind a d I didn't notice any city noise at night. Pillow was great. I've stayed in 4 hotels during this Thailand trip, including the Hyatt, and the pillows here we're the best. Breakfast was also the best out of all 4 hotels; I couldn't think of anything that was missing. An amazing selection! The only thing that could be better would be higher quality coffee... The bean to cup machines are good, but can't compare to a proper espresso machine.
