Classic Thai dinners in a teak house on the Ping River
Old timber floors, quiet courtyards, a garden sloping down to the water. The Gallery occupies a converted teak Lanna house on Charoenrat Road, with an art gallery attached and one of the most atmospheric settings on the east bank.
The menu sticks to traditional Thai dishes, well executed and plated for a slow dinner by the river. It's the refined choice in the Wat Ket arts district.

Beyond the wooden gallery and the bar is a garden resturant overlooking the Ping River under huge trees, laden with real orchids. Delicious, reasonably priced food, including vegetarian options - as well as beer & cocktails. Fun fact: Hilary Clinton visited here in the late nighties - the year after her famous: Human Rights are Women’s Rights speech - also worth a look.

Wonderful, calm restaurant. We were there around 17:00 (5pm) and had a pleasant experience. The food was top notch and so was the service. We ordered several items off the menu for our family of 5. They came out individually so we were able to try everything while it was fresh. Absolutely recommend this place for a calm, delicious evening.

This is undoubtedly some of the best food in Thailand. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and so beautifully prepared and presented. The atmosphere is amazing and it is really beautiful to eat right by the river bank. The service was absolutely amazing and extremely attentive while being so friendly and welcoming.

The Gallery Bar & Restaurant was wonderful! During our stay in Chiang Mai we ate dinner at the Gallery three times! Our food was delicious and exquisitely prepared and our servers were so very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely with tables overlooking the river and quiet music in the background. We appreciate the work and care that The Gallery Bar & Restaurant offers.

The Gallery Restaurant is a calm and elegant place to enjoy excellent Thai food. The five-spice duck was outstanding, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The sweet and sour sea bass was fresh and well balanced, and the mango salad, papaya salad and khao soi were all very well prepared and authentic. Desserts were also a highlight, especially the mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. We also enjoyed the samosas as a light starter. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The shaded seating by the river is lovely, with a peaceful view over the calm water. A very pleasant experience overall and highly recommended.
