The roasting rig out front does the marketing. Golden, blistered chicken turns over the coals all day, and that's what fills the plastic stools at this no-frills Old City spot near Wat Phra Singh.

It comes with sticky rice and dipping sauces, plus northern dishes like nam prik and grilled pork on the side. But the chicken is why people come, and for a cheap, quick lunch inside the walls, it's hard to beat.
