Three floors of secondhand clothing, plus records and art

Skip the scattered hunt through Ratchawong, Wua Lai and Nimman. Alterground stacks Chiang Mai's vintage scene into one building on Charoen Prathet Road: eccentric unisex pieces on the ground floor, archive and experimental wear one flight up, home décor filling the rest.

It doubles as an events space. Vendor nights and trunk shows run through the year, and the December 2025 trunk show pulled crowds past the 8pm closing time. The opening was a party, not a soft launch, and that energy stuck.

Good to know

• Start on the ground floor and work up - Alternate on the second floor is the more experimental rack.
• Watch the Instagram for B-Side nights: the building turns over to vendors, DJs and exhibitions after dark.
