Burial Beer Co. Forestry Camp

★ 4.5 · 569 reviews Asheville Opened March 2025

Burial's big-footprint taproom, back after the flood

Forestry Camp is Burial Beer's production facility and taproom, and it's the bigger sibling of their original South Slope spot downtown. Two bars, indoor and outdoor seating, a full kitchen menu, plus wine and slushies alongside the beer.

Hurricane Helene shut the place down last fall, but it reopened in March 2025 as South Slope's breweries came back online within weeks of each other.

Burial Beer, a well-known name in the competitive Asheville craft beer scene, is renowned for crafting truly exceptional and delectable beers. Unlike many breweries that compromise on quality these days, Burial maintains its high standards and excels in doing so. This establishment boasts an impressive selection of beers, cocktails, and a menu featuring some mouthwatering food options, including soft pretzels, fried oysters, and coconut shrimp, all served in a charming historic building. With ample indoor and outdoor seating options, Burial Beer offers a delightful experience for beer enthusiasts. Cheers! đŸ»

Great spot to taste the burial beer line up with out the hassle of the down town spot! They had an expansive draft list with all of the classics and had a great brunch menu. Note that the food service does close briefly around 3 pm. Make sure to stop by this well hidden spot for a great brew or a flight of brews.

Had a fantastic visit to Burial Beer Co. Forestry Camp on Sunday, April 18. From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. Stu truly stood out—welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time. The entire team, both in the kitchen and on the floor, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and dialed in. The beer, as always, was outstanding. Burial’s stouts are pure perfection—rich, complex, and beautifully balanced. What really elevated this visit even more was the food. It’s not just “bar food”—it’s thoughtfully crafted, and full of flavors. We had the bread plate, fried oysters, and avocado flatbread, and every dish was a flavor explosion in the best way possible. You can tell there’s real creativity and care behind the menu. Great atmosphere, amazing staff, exceptional beer, and food that goes far beyond expectations. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back. đŸ» Jason & Charlotte Johnson Blue Ridge Beer Hub Waynesville, NC

Burial is still amazing as ever. The staff here are fantastic! I love this location. I was happy they had some barrel aged beers on tap. We also took a few bottles home to try. Highly recommend!

We’re big fans of the Charlotte location, so we were excited to finally visit Burial Beer Co.—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The beer selection was fantastic with a great variety of styles, and everything we tried was excellent. The space itself is awesome too. There’s plenty of room both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot whether you’re hanging out with friends or just relaxing with a good beer. The food was just as impressive. The pretzel bites were incredible—perfectly soft and served with delicious beer cheese and mustard that paired so well with the beer. The wings were also fantastic and definitely worth ordering. Overall, an amazing brewery experience. Great beer, great food, and a really cool atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Asheville.
