Downtown's sports bar with a cocktail list that overdelivers

Easy Tiger took over the old Storm Rhum Bar space on Lexington Avenue and turned it into the sports bar downtown Asheville was missing. Screens for the game, fried chicken sandwiches, chopped salads, and a cocktail menu with more range than the format usually gets, non-alcoholic options included.

It opens for morning coffee and stays open through late-night drinks most days, so it works as a daytime hangout too. The kitchen keeps serving late, which is rarer than it should be on this block of Lexington.

While visiting Asheville I chose this restaurant due to its consistently high reviews. After visiting it seems overrated. As you arrive you wait in a queue to order from the host station. I was anticipating and looking forward to table service. Fortunately there was not much of a line when we got there but if I'd have had people behind me I would have felt a bit of pressure to order quickly. The menu was extremely limited. There just wasn't much of a choice and I ended up 'settling' for the fish sandwich which generally had good reviews but which I found was just ok. The fries that came with it were pretty bad although my friend ordered their tater tots and they were really good. The staff was friendly and they brought food promptly to us and asked if we needed anything else. So that part was good and the place had character. I think it would be a good place to watch a game or something. In summary depending on what you're looking for this place can be ok but it wasn't what I was looking for for dinner.

Perfect for watching sports games as a sports bar would be. The wings are phenomenal (sorry dad), but they also have burgers and other selections of food. They also have a decent selection of drinks. The servers are very friendly and talkative, so I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill, fun experience!

My friends and I stumbling across Easy Tiger, and it has easily become our favorite place to watch sports. We were there every Thursday during football season, and now we go for basketball, the NBA Finals, and pretty much any big game. We were there last night for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, and the energy was incredible. The atmosphere is always fun, the food is fantastic, and the staff consistently provides great service. It’s hard to find a place that checks all the boxes, but Easy Tiger does exactly that. If you’re looking for a great spot to watch sports, grab some food, and enjoy a great atmosphere, I highly recommend checking them out.

Came in during NBA game 3 and the place was packed. Great energy, we were all super excited. Unfortunately that was about it. Service and environment was solid, but the food and drinks did not live up to it. My friend’s savory martini tasted less like savory and more like cardboard. Apertivo chips did not leave us feeling appetized… more confused on what all had been thrown on the plate. Probably won’t be back unless maybe for a beer, but for the price we really expected much better.

A noisy sports bar vibe, and in that it excells. Everything we tried was beyond acceptable, tots, wings, fish and chips. Forever on the lookout for good fish and chips, these were standard run Syscoesque fare, but well prepared and generous portions. I am not sure if they were being hip or accomodating, but rice wine vinegar is no substitute for malt vinegar--just sayin'. Overall a good experience and a good place to meet up with friends.
