Glam-rock cocktails and natural wine next to DSSOLVR

Velvet, mirrors and a DJ booth set VOWL apart from the taproom next door. It's the moody, bohemian counterpoint to DSSOLVR's beer, built for cocktails and natural wine rather than pints.

Karaoke nights and DJ sets keep it running as part bar, part event space, and it's turned into one of the better late-night stops on this stretch of Lexington Avenue.

I had the kitchen’s quesabirria and it was absolutely amazing. Was it authentic? No. Was it delicious? Absolutely. Will be thinking about that menu item for a while.

This is the coolest bar in Asheville, it has the most consistently good EDM events, the drinks are great, the food is great, and the vibe they’ve set in there with decor fits Asheville, and elevates the bar to something greater.

Great atmosphere, especially on Thursday (the karaoke night). We had a lot of fun and its a nice place to sit around with friends and have a drink🍸

Loved that they have a small menu of mixed drinks and shots that they're down and willing to make. I love a green or white tea shot, the green tea shots here were quite sour/tangy which I didn't mind but not usually the standard. These were $8.5 which is pretty standard as they're labor intensive drinks but multiple on a bill adds up pretty quick. With some folks in our group not vibing with the sour shots, we tried to ask for a different mixed shot. The bartender explained they don't have any flavored liquors that are often used in mixed shots. I found this to be odd since they have green and white tea shots on their menu. After some back and forth, the bartender finally offered she could make a pineapple upside down shot, which we ended up loving! Didn't seem that she enjoyed working there too much, maybe the crowd wasn't her jam. They had some pretty loud EDM/house music on which was keeping the dance floor busy at least! This bar shares the space/is next door with a brewery that was super quite for a Saturday night plus they had pinball and some other arcade games!

Probably one of my favorite places to grab a drink and hang out for the night. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating, the vibes are top-notch, the bathrooms are awesome (do yourself a favor and check them out). 10/10 Every time.
