The pop-up legends behind smoked bologna and fried quail, now with a front door

Mike and Shyretha Sheats spent nearly a decade building a following through The Plate Sale, one of Atlanta's first restaurant pop-ups. Mule Train is their first permanent home, on Broad Street in South Downtown, and the name nods to both a family gathering spot in Oglethorpe and the Poor People's Campaign Martin Luther King Jr. worked on near the end of his life.

The smoked bologna sandwich and fried quail that built their reputation are both on the menu, alongside the same seasonal Southern cooking that made people chase down their pop-ups in the first place.
