Ama at The Atlas
★ 4.4 · 123 reviews Boston Opened Opening date unknown
The restaurant inside the Atlas Hotel on Western Avenue.
The Atlas opened on Western Avenue as part of the Allston build-out around the Harvard campus expansion, and Ama is its restaurant. The cooking crosses cuisines rather than settling on one.
We couldn't confirm an exact opening date. Foxglove Terrace, the rooftop bar in the same building, opened in April 2026 if you want a fixed point.

We went for the first time tonight. We were surprised by the limited number of options on the menu. I think six appetizers and six main courses. We got the fried chicken, beet salad, lamb appetizers. The fried chicken was too salty. The meat salad was just right really nicely spiced and the herbs and greens were super fresh. The lamb was OK. For me, of course we got the $75 ribeye which we had high expectations of because of the price and we had seen reviews that mentioned it. We ordered it medium rare, and it was overcooked. And it did not feel like it was actually a ribeye cut. We pointed out to the waiter that it was overcooked and he immediately offered to fire another one. But it turned out. They were sold out at only 7 PM on a Friday night. That was surprising too, given the limited number of main courses. It’s a new place with very nice contemporary decor. Hi Bottom line: limited options that were hit or miss and it was overpriced, especially for the steak.

Dinner at Ama at the Atlas hotel, and drinks after at the rooftop bar, Foxglove Terrace, were nothing short of magical! The food was incredible (we got the fried chicken, beet salad, duck, and trout!). Great wine list. Service was perfect — warm, friendly, timely, and helpful. And the interior design was flawless. Gorgeous space, cool art, so clean. Can’t wait to go back for more dinners and celebrations!!

Great atmosphere! Service and good was impeccable. My husband and I sat at the bar, and were waited on by Georgia. Give my girl a visit, she makes the BEST drinks. Why a wonderful hidden gem.

Located on first floor of the brand new Atlas Hotel. If you are looking for fun food adventure, do not miss this one! Great for friends hangout or business meal as well. Nepali food with a lot of spices! Highly recommend the trout and beet salad!

A+++++ level experience from the moment we were greeted and seated all the way through the dining and beyond. This place and its food is now on top of my most favorite places to treat myself and friends visiting Boston to not only a superb quality food but an authentic epitome of “experience economy”.! So clear the founders have a vision for this new restaurant and that vision was fully delivered. Cannot wait to go back!
