Sanbada
★ 4.8 · 567 reviews Boston Opened 14 February 2026
Korean seafood on Brighton Avenue, open since February 2026.
Sanbada opened on 14 February 2026 in a Brighton Avenue building its owners have been filling with Korean restaurants one floor at a time. Seafood is the focus here.
Jinjee, a Korean barbecue room from the same team, followed in April in the same building. Between the two, you could eat Korean here twice in a week without repeating a dish.

Truly delicious food!!! We came here after hearing all the good things from our friends who came here, and Sanbada did not disappoint us AT ALL! Except for the food, the server was super friendly and gave us a very nice overview of the menu. They even have self service bar for side dishes and ice creams! Will definitely come again to try other things.

Food came quickly and was well prepared. The banchan was all fresh and tasted amazing. We ordered the mackerel, belt fish, and spicy pork. The fish were well cooked and had a good texture. Pork was nice and spicy, and had a good kick. Would definitely come back!

I had a great experience and I really enjoyed the food! They have unlimited banchan and my favorite is the spicy stir-fried eggplant. There's a variety of banchan and I really enjoyed trying all of them! Out of all the main sets, I really like the Spicy Pork Set. The atmosphere is nice and it makes me feel at home. The staff are kind and attentive. I've come for lunch and dinner for two separate occasions and the wait can be long (30+ minutes). However, Allston is nice area to walk around and the food was worth the wait!

Very clean and bright spot with unlimited self serve Banchan concept. Visited twice and recommend this place if you are Banchan lover, but their main dish offering is very limited to 5 options to choose from. Each guest in your party must order a main dish to enjoy unlimited banchan. They refill banchans pretty often, except on busy weekend, refill slowed down quite drastically. Popular banchan items took half hour to refill, voiding the 'unlimited refill' concept unfortunately.. Couple banchan like Eggplant fry and jellyfish salad were outstanding, and the rest were pretty basic. We tried all main dish options, 3 grilled fish options and 2 meat options -belt fish set $30 was our favorite. Lots of meat, perfectly grilled -atka mackerel set $27 was quite flavorful -mackerel set $26 -spicy pork set $28 nice gochujang flavor -bulgogi patty set $28 grilled perfectly but little too sweet for our liking - Soy marinated shrimp $11.25 from sharable menu. Was excited to try this but disappointed as shrimps were quite muscly and tough. Didn't have rich umami flavor. - finish off with ice cream bar, chocolate covered strawberry, melon bar. Overall fun concept with friendly service.
