El Barco opened on Dalton Street in September 2025, a block off the Christian Science Plaza and a short walk from the Hynes. Seafood does most of the work here, which the name promises and the menu delivers.
The margarita list is longer than it needs to be. Order the one with mezcal and skip the flavoured ones.

Was here a few months ago and adie was the best bartender. Came back here tonight Alejandra was such a great server and the bartender did great with cocktails. Fish tacos and quesadillas are the bomb. definitely worth it here

We only stopped in for margaritas and chips with salsa, so I can’t speak to the full menu yet, but based on our visit, I’d definitely come back. The margarita was incredibly fresh and easily one of the best I’ve had in the city. The chips and salsa were a great snack while we relaxed, and every dish that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. We’ll definitely be back to try dinner.

Need a break from seafood and lobster rolls? Get a burrito and margarita from El Barco! I wondered whether this small restaurant would meet my exacting standards for Mexican food. El Barco exceeded my expectations. The Elote appetizer was divine! The kernels are cut from the cob and served in a bowl, so it's great for sharing. The Quesabirra was "really, really good" according to my teen son. The Carne Asada Burrito (I asked for light rice, add guac and sour cream) was larger than I expected but so very satisfying. El Barco is open late and a great place to watch the games.

Came to El Barco for a birthday dinner and had a great time. The food and drinks were phenomenal! I had the smashburger and pollo asado tacos and a coconut margarita. Our bartender Jorge was the star of the experience!! He was not only friendly but made us feel at home. His attention to detail and service was top notch. Highly recommend .. thanks Jorge and El Barco!!
