Jinjee

Korean barbecue in the Brighton Avenue block, open since April 2026.
Jinjee opened in mid-April 2026 as the barbecue half of the Sanbada operation on Brighton Avenue. Tables have their own grills and the banchan spread lands before you've finished ordering.
Allston has had Korean food for decades, but rarely at this scale. Book for four or more, since the grills are built for it.

I recently visited this Korean restaurant and was very impressed! The dishes were incredibly delicious, fresh, and authentic. I especially enjoyed the Korean barbecue, kimchi, and fried chicken — everything was prepared with a perfect balance of flavors. The staff was very friendly, helpful with recommendations, and made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy, the interior is stylish, and the restaurant is a great place to relax and have a wonderful meal. I will definitely come back again and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Korean cuisine!

Love it!!!. Great service, from the host to the service, great atmosphere. When you order the food, the server will come cook for you, hot food right in front of you, so your good stake or pice of meat will not be over cook or under cook, and straight from the grill to your mouth, so you know your food is not sitting around and wait for a server to come pick it up at a count. Also you let them know how you want it cook and they will attend to that meat as if their life depended on it, and man they know their food, and if my server know the origin of the meat and why is being serves that way and answer questions with passion and long explanation, that server can be invitedto my bbq any day, and you know they love their job and the owner put quality over quantity. Definitely will be back.

Might be the best Korean BBQ in Boston. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Also, yes. Service was exceptional! The attention to detail! The banchan? New concepts introduced and it was a flavor-bomb. Might not be a weekly visit but definitely on top of the list for special occasions.

Amazing. So clean and pleasant interior, all the side dishes were freshly prepared with great ingredients. As someone sensitive with salt levels, they were VERY good with what Koreans would call "gan"(=appropriate level of saltiness). All of the side dishes were very delicious. They also broil the meat for you, and both of the servers were pros. Excellent service and very tasty, and they serve you different kinds of meat. Yes it's definitely on the pricier side, but considering the value of good food and service, I didn't feel that it was overpriced. Also they serve complimentary ice cream (more like frozen custard) with rice-cake bean powder. It was very good too, and not too sweet. High-quality food and high-quality service. Absolutely loved my time there. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing food and vibes!! Our server James was definitely the grill master. He made sure our meat was grilled perfectly and gave us amazing combinations for each type of meat. Would definitely come again!!!
