Capri

★ 4.3 · 475 reviews Boston Opened August 2025

Italian steakhouse on Harrison Avenue, since summer 2025.

Capri opened on Harrison Avenue in August 2025 with an Italian steakhouse format, which in practice means dry-aged beef and a pasta course you're meant to order first. The room is larger than most South End restaurants.

The pasta is the better half of the menu. If you're only going once, order it and split a steak.

Wow. We had heard that Capri was good but it really amazed us still. The atmosphere is striking- two levels and a beautiful outdoor space with lots of greenery, lighting, glass.. it’s a fun place to be wherever you sit. It’s very popular but also quite big so room for lots of people. Our server was excellent- very well-informed and practiced with a sense of humor. The food was outstanding. We started with the much-vaunted honey buns and they didn’t disappoint! YUM! As often happens they were so good that I didn’t get a camera aimed at them fast enough! We had the Chicken Milanese, Chicken Piccata, and a mussels special with pasta. All were really flavorful. I had the piccata, which I almost didn’t order because it’s a classic dish that I can get in most Italian restaurants. Fortunately they did what I had hoped- they took a classic and nailed every aspect of it. It had lots of strong lemon, buttery sauce, light, fresh crispy chicken, perfectly cooked pasta, and nice capers and herbs to round it all out. We had to run to a movie (I know, desperate times), so didn’t plan to have dessert. The menu pulled us in enough though to get a single scoop of the housemade Fior di latte honey gelato to share. It was spot-on, with a smooth texture and distinct almost liquid swirl of honey throughout. Mmmmm! Great date spot!

We had a great to experience at Capri. Our first time there, and would love to go back. The bolanace which was one of the best I have had. We were a party of 7 and everyone had a great meal and time. We sat outside and the venue was perfect. Our waitress was Cheyenne and she was awesome. Great interaction with our party, providing great recommendations. Overall a great experience!

Shout out to Pavla the server ! She said the honeybuns are a definite and she was right. We went here for lunch at the SOWA FLEA and we ate inside. The patio was packed but I wanted the luxury of sitting in a velvet banquet next to the open door. It was a great decor inside and I felt like I was having dinner in Paris. So we split a citrus salad that was huge and lightly dressed with our honey buns ! My god it was a mini cake those honey buns .... then came the spritzers non alcoholic and so refreshing.... I got the gavatelio pasta with our chili flakes ..... it was done to perfection. The vodka pasta was equally great. I don't think there is a bad dish on the menu !!! The place was empty and before long the inside was as crowded as the outside lol I really liked any to go back and try the rack of lamb.

I had an amazing birthday dinner experience! The food was unique and absolutely delicious. We especially loved the honey buns—I’ve never had anything like them before. The portions were huge, and we ordered the Surf & Turf and the Ribeye, both of which were outstanding. One thing I really appreciated was the free parking and convenient location right off the highway, which made getting there so easy. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Yanet, our server, and Aaron, the manager, who went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner feel extra special. Their exceptional service truly made the night memorable. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes from the menu. Highly recommend!

Came here in a Friday evening with a dinner reservation at 6:15. We were promptly seated in the outdoor patio area. It is in a lovely courtyard surrounded on three sides by the adjacent brick building. The very helpful waitstaff came by and answered questions we had about the menu. We put in our drink orders and all of the cocktails were lovely. The standout appetizers were the tuna tartare, Sicilian citrus, and the honey buns. For entrees, the chicken parmigiana was lovely and crispy, I enjoyed it much more than the same dish at their sister restaurant Prima. For dessert, the limoncello tiramisu was lovely, nothing like a tiramisu aside from the ladyfingers, but it was still delicious! Definitely recommend trying this popular restaurant out if you're looking to try a hot, new restaurant. Probably make a reservation though!
