FiDo Pizza

★ 4.5 · 95 reviews Boston Opened September 2025

Pizza on Western Avenue, open since 2025.

FiDo opened on Western Avenue in 2025, in the stretch of Allston rebuilt around the new labs and student housing. Pizza by the slice and by the pie.

Open late enough to catch the crowd coming off Harvard Avenue. That timing does a lot of the work here.

We had been meaning to check out Fido for a long time, and with all the recent buzz, we finally made it in tonight. Overall, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars. The pizza was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The space itself is beautiful, and the drinks were solid as well. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the food. Our server wasn’t rude, but she came across as fairly unfriendly, which took away from the experience. For two large pizzas, an IPA, and two cocktails, the bill came to about $115 including tip. Between the pricing and the service, it didn’t quite reach five-star territory for us. I’m glad we finally checked it off the list and enjoyed the pizza, but I don’t think we’d go out of our way to return. One other frustration was parking. Paying $20 for the lot felt excessive, and validated parking would go a long way. Overall, a good experience and definitely worth trying for the pizza alone.

The staff was really nice! I’m not sure who brought out the pizza, I believe one of the cooks but he was super nice. The pizza was good but nothing crazy out of this world. I do enjoy a fresh pizza when it’s baked in a pizza oven as it gets a nice flavor with an amazing crispy crust. We got The Doc which was good but flavors were just salty, not much depth besides that. However, the star of the show was their ranch. I’m not sure if it’s house made but it was really tasty and the fries were crunchyyyy. However, fries were little bits and pieces which were annoying. The ranch had an amazing dill flavor! Overall, pretty solid place. I’d come back to try other pizzas.

Hands down best pizza in Boston! While you’re at pizza, ask for mozzarella sticks too! Forget Northend, this is where good, high quality Italian food is at. Pro tip- check out for weekly specials, you might spot a deal ;) PPS: thank you Jackie for making our night memorable! :)

An undercarriage so thin you could read tomorrows news paper through it. We came here for the famed Pepperoni Pizza Negroni, and stuck around for a pie and some wings. “But the buffalo wings can’t be anything special” you think to yourself. Wrong. These Calabrian buffalo wings bring all of the heat but lack the punch of vinegar your pub standard wings deliver. Their carafed cousin cannot be ignored. Along side your order of wings you will receive one of the best bleu cheese dippings in the Boston area. Word to the wise? Hold on to it, you’ll need it for the crust. The pizza infused Negroni cocktail at the top of their menu leaves a bit to be desired in terms of flavor or expanding on the classic Negroni. Perhaps my palette isn’t sophisticated in the ways of what gin is supposed to taste like after being nestled in a tub with delicious pepperoni pizza slices, or perhaps the classic cocktail itself being my favorite could mean my standards are too high. A fine sip nonetheless. The highlight of our choices? The Doc. A pizza full of delicious flamed meat, hot pickled peppers, and an undercarriage so thin you could read tomorrow’s newspaper through it. Along with the whipped ricotta on top, it’s a treat I’d make a point to come back for. A great foldable pie. Our experience here in the restaurant itself was fantastic, and the staff was great. Shout out Jacqueline for the skinny on the tomato pie, and awesome service.

I’ve had a good experience here before, which makes the last two visits especially frustrating. Both times, the food came out seriously overcooked, and on my most recent order, my salad and mozzarella sticks were missing entirely. That’s not a small oversight. I’m willing to give this place another shot, but this kind of inconsistency points to a real lapse in quality control that management should address. This isn’t the standard I’d expect based on my earlier experience.
