Sushi on Salem Street, in the middle of the Italian North End.

Salem Street is red sauce and cannoli for nine blocks, so a sushi counter opening there in December 2025 stood out on the walk. Umami Crudo stays small and sticks to crudo and nigiri, no rolls.

The counter seats about a dozen. Reservations go fast on weekends, and parking in the neighborhood is as bad as it's always been.

We had such an exquisite dinner this past weekend! The food was so fresh and delicious. The staff were very attentive. We really enjoyed every bite and we liked that each dish was described by the staff to us when it was brought to the table. Absolutely an amazing dining experience! We ordered Caviar Uni Tartar, Spider Rolls, Mussels, Madai, Lobster Somen, Shima Aji and Yuzu Cheesecake. We will definitely be back whenever we're in Boston. 100% recommend!

Went on a Saturday night and loved it. The service was off the chart and the food was immaculate. I'm an avid sushi fan and enjoy trying new food and all the food I tried was great. I had the Lobster Somen, Shima Aji, Spider, Caviar Uni Tartar, the Mussels and my favorite bite of the night was the Madai! The vibe was great and it was heightened from the hostess to the bartender and waiters. Would 100% go again next time in Boston!🍣🥢🦞🐟

Best sushi in the North End! Jeison and Yan were absolutely wonderful! The care and detail here is just phenomenal that I can’t even put it into words how much we enjoyed our time and food here. Definitely recommend the Chu Toro Crudo and Salmon Truffle roll. Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had! Thank y’all for such a great evening.

Absolutely amazing sushi and an overall great dining experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and we even got to meet the chef! Everything was fresh and our food came out fast. We were visiting from out of town or else we’d be going back ASAP! Cheers!
